Quick Self-Care Tips When you are Feeling Election Anxiety

If you are feeling election anxiety, or the day after-election anxiety, you are not alone. I’ve been dealing with this for some time. Here are some self-care tips that have helped me, and I know they will help you as well:

  1. Take a social media break.
  2. Limit your news intake.
  3. Take a walk in nature.
  4. Meditate or find another mindful practice.
  5. Go to bed early.
  6. Don’t check the news on your cell phone in the middle of the night.
  7. Watch only happy TV.
  8. Take a mental health day.
  9. Exercise daily.
  10. Remember that all things pass.

Let me know if you have any questions. And if you know someone who can benefit from this note, please pass it along.
